Golfclub Urslautal

At the foot of the Stone Sea in the Pinzgauer Saalachtal, the Golfclub Urslautal in Schinking, part of Saalfelden, is located on a plateau between Saalfelden proper and Maria Alm at an altitude of 800 meters. It offers a gorgeous view of the Stone Sea from its setting among a field and meadow land scape. From Salzburg and Berchdesgaden, the Golfclub Urslautal can be reached via the B311 and B305. It was founded in 1991 and boasts a 6,030-meter-long 18-hole-course with par 71, designed by the British golf course architect Keith Preston. With its hilly terrain, wide fairways, many biotopes, ponds, streams, dog legs, and sand obstacles, it demands athleticism, concentration, and perseverance from golfers of all experience levels. Fitness can be fine-tuned at the driving range in the practice area of the club. With a teeing area of 5,000 square meters and a total area of three hectares, it is one of the largest training facilities in Austria. It has 60 tees, of which eight are covered. The Golfclub Urslautal offers a 3-hole compact course for training, a strongly wavy putting, pitching, and chipping green with a practice bunker. Additionally, those interested in golf can take part in starter, intermediate, advanced, and family courses offered at the golf academy Urslautal, as well as visit a guest course.
