Montrose Golf Links - Broomfield Platz

The Broomfield Course is one of two 18-hole golf courses known worldwide in Montrose, a small port city on the eastern Scottish coast. They belong to Montrose Golf Links Ltd. The golf complex is located in a unique location, directly on the rugged coast of Scotland with fantastic view of the North Sea. At a length of 4,409 meters, the Broomfield Course with par 66 is the shorter of the two. Nevertheless, the course is considered an absolute “must” among golf enthusiasts. The course is relatively flat, but varied and quite challenging due to the wind. Deep bunkers, high grass, and majestic broom bushes characterize the course, rich in dunes. Mastering the short game is important in order not to lose the balls in the tall grass. The Broomfield Course is perfectly-maintained – which is to be expected at the world’s fourth oldest golf course. Golf was first played here in 1562. Over the centuries, a course developed that is perfectly aligned with nature. The Montrose Golf Links Ltd. – Broomfield Course regularly hosts large tournaments. Visitors are welcome (open from April to October). The next biggest city, Dundee, is around 50 kilometers away. The golf hotspots, Aberdeen and St. Andrews, are also nearby.
