Mystic Springs Golf Club - Mystic Kurs

The Mystic Springs Golf Club can be found near Haitang, the eastern city district of the southern Chinese harbor city of Sanya, on the island of Hainan. It lies embedded on a 150-hectare area between tropical vegetation, fruit, and flower gardens in a valley surrounded by mountains, which displays differences in elevation of up to 183 meters. Reachable from Haitang’s center in about 20 minutes via the G223, the trip from the center of Sanya via the G98 to the Mystic Springs Golf Club takes about an hour. It was founded in 2011 and is home to the two 18-hole links courses Mystic Course and Springs Course with par 72. The American golf course architecture duo Robin Nelson and Neil Haworth provided the design. The Mystic Course with a length of 6,560 meters runs along hilly terrain and is shaped by numerous fairways that wind through the mountains above the valley. The greens are mostly elevated, partly very large, and occasionally form double greens. Doglegs, many deep bunkers, and water hazards contribute to the high standards of the championship course at the Mystic Springs Golf Club. The signature hole is hole 3, the so-called Devil’s Bend, which demands a mighty upward shot. The Springs Course measures 6,805 meters and stretches across a wavy area with many elevated tees and greens. Deep bunkers, doglegs, and water hazards also belong to the course’s obstacles.
