South Lakes Golf Club

The award-winning South Lakes Golf Club is located in Goolwa on the Fleurieu Peninsula, about 80 kilometres south of Adelaide in South Australia. It is part of the local and very popular holiday resort, located directly by the water. Nearby, the Murray river empties into the Southern Ocean. The club is owned by its members, and it welcomes visitors at any time. The South Lakes Golf Club has a gorgeous 18 hole course. The par-70 course is 5,773 meters long. The fairways are covered with Santa Anna Couch grass, the greens with Poa Annua and Bent grass. The greens are designed such, that players of all skill levels will feel right at home. The relatively flat terrain allows you to make your rounds over the gorgeously designed course on foot as well. The course is sporty and at the same time relaxing, also thanks to the pleasant rolling of the waves in the background. Following the game, feel free to meet at the cosy clubhouse with bars, bistros, and a restaurant as well as several playing facilities. The large training area with nets and a putting and chipping green, as well as a sand bunker, leaves nothing to be desired. The South Lakes Golf Club is reached most conveniently by car. There are two main routes leading away from Adelaide: the Southern Expressway and the South Eastern Freeway. Both are counted among the most picturesque stretches of road in South Australia.
