Golfbaan de Stok

The Golfclub Golfbaan de Stok is located in the city of Roosendaal in the Dutch province of Nordbrabant. It lies embedded in meadows and flow fields in a wetland at the edge of Roosendaal near the Belgian border. From the next larger cities of Bergen op Zoom and Breda, the Golfbaan de Stok can comfortably be reached in 20 to 25 minutes via the A58. The club was established in 2002 and features a 9-hole parkland course with par 33, the design of which was created by Belgian golf course architect Bruno Steensels. He set up a 2032-meter-long, hilly course surrounded by several water hazards and large bunkers. The fairways are mostly lined by a dense, old stock of trees and crossed or flanked by rivers at several points. Golfers frequently need to play across water. Hole 8 in particular should be mentioned, since golfers must play across a large lake from about 90 meters. The course of the golf club Golfbaan de Stok can also be played as an 18-hole course and was awarded B status. It is also easy to play for golf beginners, but still presents a few surprises for experienced golfers. Golfbaan de Stok offers a lit driving range with two levels, a lit putting green, and a chipping area with practice bunkers for an efficient training.
